At 1,770 miles in length, the Danube is the second longest river in Europe. It passes through 10 countries as if flows from Germany’s Black Forest to the Black Sea. There are many beautiful and famous places along the banks of the Danube, including Vienna, Bucharest, Budapest, Melk, Regensburg, Linz, Bratislava, Passau to name but a few. Obviously not all can be seen on each cruise, but I can help find the cruise which includes the places you would most like to visit. The Main Danube Canal links the Danube with the Main River, meaning that it is possible to cruise from Amsterdam all the way to the Black Sea.
Cruise lines which offer Danube cruise itineraries include AmaWaterways, APT, Avalon Waterways, CMV Signature River Cruises, Cosmos Tours & Cruises, Emerald Waterways, Great Rail Journeys, Newmarket Holidays, Riviera Travel, Saga, Scenic, Shearings,
Tauck European River Cruising, The River Cruise Line, Titan Travel, Titan Uniworld, Uniworld and Viking River Cruises.
