There are a number of destinations you can cruise to from ports in North America, and these generally fall into the following areas.
Canada and New England
Cruise from New York, Boston, Montreal or Quebec, and see the amazing autumn colours in ports such as Bar Harbour, Portland, Saint John and Halifax.
Alaska
Cruise from Seattle and Vancouver, and visit ports including Juneau, Skagway, Sitka and Ketchikan, and see the amazing scenery and wildlife that Alaska has to offer.
Bahamas
A cruise to include ports in the Bahamas can be taken from many different US ports, including New York, Miami, New Orleans, Port Canaveral and Jacksonville.
Hawaii
If you would like to cruise around the Hawaiian Islands, the main ports of embarkation are in San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego. Norwegian Cruise Line offers the opportunity to fly direct to Honolulu to join the ship, which saves the long crossing from mainland USA.
Caribbean
You can take a Caribbean cruise from many ports in Northern America, including San Juan, Miami, New York, Port Canaveral and Galveston.
Mexico
The Mexican Riviera, with ports including Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta, can be reached on cruises from Los Angeles and San Diego.
