Dubai, which is in the United Arab Emirates, is constantly changing with ever larger hotels and other buildings appearing on the scene.
There are limited opportunities for fly cruises which start and end in Dubai, although MSC Cruises, Royal Caribbean International and Hapag Lloyd do offer some. Ports of call generally include Muscat and Abu Dhabi. It is often possible to add a hotel stay before or after your cruise, to give you the opportunity to see more of the amazing places in Dubai. These include the Dubai Mall, which has around 1,200 shops, the Gold Souk, Atlantis the Palm hotel, and you can also go on a 4×4 Desert Safari.
Many other cruise lines offer itineraries which include Dubai as a port of call, although they are often longer duration cruises and world cruises. I took the following photos and video when I cruised from Dubai in January 2015.
