Australia & New Zealand Cruises

Australia is a great destination for a cruise but, unless you are doing a world cruise, it inevitably involves a long flight to get there. However, there is something special about cruising past the iconic Sydney Opera House and under the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

There are a number of options from Australia as you can do a full circumnavigation, or a number of shorter cruises, with some offering the chance to take an excursion out to the Great Barrier Reef. The main ports in Australia are Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

There is also a selection of one way and round trip cruises between Australia and New Zealand.

In New Zealand the main ports are Auckland and Wellington, offering a selection of cruises including a circumnavigation of New Zealand. On one of these cruises you could visit the Bay of Islands, Christchurch and Milford Sound. You will often have the chance to call at Tasmania as well.

There are also a number of options for cruises which start or end in Singapore or Hong Kong, which can include Bale or Papua New Guinea as well as Australia or New Zealand.

The main cruise lines covering this part of the world include: –

  • Holland America Line
  • Silversea Cruises
  • Celebrity Cruises
  • Crystal Cruises
  • Royal Caribbean International
  • Princess Cruises
